About

BW-TH4I write non-fiction, creative and academic, with a focus on life writing/memoir. I received my BA in Psychology from Keene State College in 2014. Currently, I work as a journalist for a local newspaper in Brattleboro, VT. I have worked in a variety of roles, from  support group facilitation with adults, behavior management with adolescents in a psychiatric residential program, and freelance proofreading and editing.  Psychology/social sciences and English composition have had great significance in my life, and are a few of my passions, along with politics and social justice. I am a current student at the Bread Loaf School of English, beginning my MA degree; I will also be attending the Smith College School for Social Work in 2018 to begin earning my MSW. Some of my favorite writers include David Foster Wallace, Lauren Slater, Anne Lamott, Ann Patchett, Elizabeth Strout, Muriel Barbery, Jonathan Safran Foer, Philip Roth, Lucy Grealy, and Kay Redfield Jamison. I love considering the nature of embodiment in writing, and discussing the role of the body in narrative development. My partner and I, my two-year-old terrier Olive, and his five-year-old coonhound Lily, live chaotically and happily in Brattleboro, VT.
